Farm Hand - 2025 Season

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for farming and a willingness to learn various aspects of farm operations. This role involves hands-on work with sheep, cattle, and poultry, ensuring the smooth functioning of daily farm activities.

Job begins in March and goes through Thanksgiving, with the potential to stay on through the winter months.

Weekly schedule:

  • ~8 hour shifts on Wednesday-Friday

  • ~4 hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday (3 hrs for morning chores & 1 hr for evening chores)

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.

  • Tear down and set up portable fencing daily for sheep and poultry paddocks.

  • Move portable poultry housing daily.

  • Supervise daily farm operations, including coordinating tasks among team members.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the farm facilities and equipment.

  • Processing/butchering/packaging poultry with team.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in farming or agricultural work is required.

  • Tractor experience strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of animal health and handling, particularly sheep and/or cattle, is a plus.

  • Familiarity with farm machinery operation and maintenance is advantageous.

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labor as required.

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to work hard alongside us

  • Willingness to learn new skills related to farming techniques and equipment operation.

Starting Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on experience
